an apple a day....

We do have an apple tree, two orange trees, a pear tree and an olive tree in our back yard. Last winter the frost took care of the blossoms so there are only a few oranges on one of the trees and one - yes, you are reading it right- 1 apple!! Last night after dinner we did it, we could not wait any longer. The three of us went out in the garden, and after the picture of the lonely apple on the tree we picked it!!!!!!!
It was beautiful, the colors perfect and it looked sooooooooo good!!

J removed the skin, and cut it in half and after that in fours.

And then..... We ate it, one and a half piece for the boys and one piece for me. Poor lonely apple, he grew up all by itself, made it though the better part of summer only to be eaten by us.
But let me tell you, it was a very nice sweet juicy apple and we so do hope that next year the tree grows at least three apples!!
As for the first school day, T was excited and could not wait to go back today! He loves his teacher and he is not at all faced with all the things he had to do this year. And get this, they have a water fountain in the class that is turned on when they have tests or other things to do that requires thinking and a quiet time. T loves it, he loves the sound and says it makes them less nervous during time tests. Those time tests are a daily thing, I only hope they don't all have to go to the bathroom when they here the sound of water.
They also are getting lessons from a music teacher and a PE teacher. I can not wait until the music lessons start and hear his comments on that!!
