It is Labour day weekend, three whole days of puttering around in the house.
Why can't we have three day weekends every week?
Yesterday we bbq-ed on the deck. Jeremy is a big fan of BBQ food, he makes sure he hangs out right in front of the grill. He miauws if it takes to long for one of us to check on the food. In his cat world this must be some kind of Quality Control.

The other barn cats provide for their own food, this is what I saw from the kitchen window this morning.

Jeremy likes to beg for his food, it is easier that way and there is always a human around crazy enough to feed him.

Paco of course had something to say too, as always

And look, my second pair of Latvian socks are finished. One day late for the time of the KAL but they are done and I like them a lot.

So does my latest "sock model", the yarn must smell nice.

The latest project on the needles is a pair of mittens. This time there was a knot in the yarn just where I was about to cast off for the first mitten. Turns out the color sequence was about to start again after the tiny bit of purple after the knot.
So far I love this pattern, very simple with a perfect fit.
